The WRT54G WILL NOT work with PPTP VPN no matter what I try. I spent hours with tech support opening port after port with no success (though I don't think this should have to be done if the thing actually worked like it is supposed to). If I change the router out with the old BEFSX41 the VPN works again, but I need wireless and VPN to work!!!

I am trying to setup a VPN on my WRT54GL router in Canada, so my friend from China is able to access those websites through my VPN. I did some research online and I think I can do it flashing either the tomato fw or dd-wrt fw but I couldnt' find a good setup procedure. Not sure about the settings that needs to be done on your VPN client.
